Live Mega Wheel is Pragmatic Play’s first live game show, where a winning spin can pay up to 500 times your bet!
This is not the first of this type of live entertainment game, but it is the first to boost one of the numbers with a multiplier before the spin is made.
Multipliers on other wheels of fortune, like Dream Catcher and Spin a Win have to be won before they are applied to the number.
Pragmatic Live Mega Wheel is different because the multiplier is chosen by a Random Number Generator (RNG) before the spin is made.
This adds an edge of excitement to every spin, especially if you have bet on the number that has the multiplier.
The Live Mega Wheel contains fifty-four segments which are split across nine numbers:
The multipliers are assigned by an RNG engine before each spin. However, while the biggest multiplier is 500 x, this isn’t available on every number.
So you can see that the higher payouts are reserved for the numbers that come in less frequently.
Another point to note is these are maximum figures and are unlikely to occur that frequently.
Betting is a straightforward process.
You select the amount and the numbers you want to bet on. You can bet on individual numbers, some or all of them using the Bet All facility.
If you want to place the same bet on the same numbers, you can use the Auto Play feature to repeat the bet for a specified number of spins.

There are a few betting strategies you can use when playing the Live Mega Wheel.
With this strategy, you place a bet on all the numbers. Is this a good thing to do? Yes if you get a multiplier win in the first few spins. The return is normally more than you total bets for the previous spins, but it’s a high-risk strategy and one that doesn’t work that often.
With this strategy you need to take into account the frequency the number may win (its probability) and the size of the multiplier it could be assigned. If you check the table you’ll see that numbers 2 and 5 offer the best chances of returning a profit.
I’d be placing four bets. Five bets on number one, three on number 2 (there are 13 chances it could win with a max 200x payout), one on number 10, with 4 chances of the 25x payout, and one number 20 with 2 chances of the 500x win. This covers half the board, so has a 2:1 chance of coming in.

The optimal theoretical RTP for Live Mega Wheel is 96.51%.
It’s not the lowest RTP you’ll find or the best.
The attraction of the game is the high variance nature of the multipliers. They have to be paid for somehow. So an element of RTP is assigned to the multipliers and away from the base game.
You’ll actually find that if the game isn’t paying the multipliers, its RTP will be much lower!
Pragmatic Live Mega wheel is a wheel of fortune game, but this version has random Multipliers assigned to a number after betting has closed. The max multiplier available is 500x.

I think some people will deride Pragmatic Play for creating this game because they will say it’s just copying Evolution, Playtech and to some extent Betgames and even Ezugi, who all have a wheel of fortune type games.
I on the other hand don’t buy into that train of thought. Pragmatic must keep up with its competitors. Their customers wouldn’t be pleased if they didn’t expand their game catalogue, and would likely move if they didn’t. The other suppliers don’t have a right to only have the game, so in my opinion, it’s all bluster.
Pragmatic Play hasn’t copied Dream Catcher or Spin A win. They have created a hybrid of a game, using bits from one and bits from another. What they have created is unique, no one else has a game that plays this way, and for me, that’s a good thing. Whether the game is liked by players is another thing, only time will tell.
I like its simplicity and the apparent ease with which you can get a multiplier.
The studio is a bit gawdy with its bright sweet box type colours, it’s not my type of thing but it is very visual.
